I
paint because I love to see color transform a blank canvas into
a living piece of energy, and I like seeing vivid colors.
I've done a lot of personal study of art theory and composition
and have developed some of my own theories and habits. |
|
One of those
theories is:
If you must have a painting explained to understand it, it
isn't fine art.
|
|
There’s no
hidden agenda with me, my art is simply meant to bring
happiness.
I don't want to
change the world with my art, just make someone happy. I know
that’s not very cultured reasoning for the "artistic" world, but
that's what makes me tick.
If you notice a few bricks and stonework in my paintings it's
because I was a mason for 15 years, so I have a full
appreciation of the mason’s artistry.
I live in a small town that's growing too fast and too big for
my liking. I like to wear cowboy boots occasionally, and it
drives my wife and kids crazy. I like to think I'm justified in
wearing them because both sets of my grandparents were ranchers
in Southwest Wyoming. I like to fish with my boys and tease my girls.
My teasing days are quickly coming to an end though, because not
only are my girls growing older, they're taking karate too!
Thanks for
visiting, and I hope you enjoy the fine art. |
